Adding and subtracting Rational Expressions?
How do I simplify these? I have tried and im jsut not understanding it >.<
(2 / (x^2 - 1)) + (1 / (2x^2 - 2x))
This is the answer aparently:
(5x+1) / (2x^3 - 2x)
But how do I do this?
And for subtracting one of them is like this:
(x / 3x^2 - 3) - (6 / (6x(x+1)))
This is the answer:
(x^2 - 3x + 3) / (3x^3 - 3x)

The fractions need a common denominator before they can be added together.
Factor the denominators and use the least common denominator.
