Anyone have some fun ideas for the "last day" of our homeschool writing club?
We are Christian home educators who started a writing club for our kids (12 kids altogether, ages 8 to 17). Our last club meeting for the year is coming up and we'd like to make it kind of special. Not extravagant, just something simple and nice. Thanks in advance for your wholesome, fun ideas!

Lovely to have a party.
Since it is for the writing club, how about a simple party with a twist: there is a mystery book gift. Get a book or two for each child. Wrap every hook with the same paper. Have the kids pick the book/books they want...they have them unwrap it to see which book they got.

How about a time capsule? Have the kids write about their experience this year - what was the most fun, the hardest, what they remember about the year, etc. Put it in a time capsule, bury it somewhere memorable (or put in a safety deposit box) to be openned when the youngest finally graduates from high school. Throw another party and enjoy the memories.
