Ants aren't generally carriers of disease, so if the idea doesn't gross you out, go for it.

This is only one of the many reasons that food should be thawed in the refrigerator.

I think I would be more concerned with figuring out how the ants got into your sink and your home.

Generally when looking for quick ways to defrost foods; the food is put in a air/water tight freezer bag and covered with cold water, so the ants would have drowned. Ants are pure protien but they also crawl on floors and the ground. Who know what is stuck to their little feet. If you really had ant crawling all over raw, uncovered sausages, I would dump them.

After all, they cover these little buggars in chocolate and sell them at outrageous prices! I don't always thaw my food in the fridge either, but I don't take it out of the package when I put it in the sink for this very reason...every summer, never fails, this whole area, we all get black "piss ants".

For peace of mind, I wouldn't eat it.
