Is libertarianism the future of the GOP?

the current party platform probably won't last longer than 20 or so more years... demographics are changing, it's a losing card in the long run...

will they move toward more libertarian ideas... or more become slightly more socially liberal and move more liberal on economic issues, kind of like some conservative democrats now?

Update:

the GOP has too much clout and structure to just fade away, but they will change to stay alive in the new world...

Libertarianism = Crackpot economic theories that've been repeatedly disproved & debunked. (Google it.)

Here's just one example to get you started: http://weeklysift.com/2011/08/22/why-i-am-not-a-li...

Why would the GOP, already undermined and subverted by corporate interests and radicalized far-right lunatic fringe conservatives, want to ruin itself even further with libertarian nonsense?

It's only hope is that mainstream conservatives finally find the balls to take back their party from the RINOs and retards and others who've seized control of it, and return it to its kinder, gentler roots.

I think the libertarians should split from the party. Gop establishment doesn't seem to like them too much.

GOP needs to be more liberal on social issues while conservative on fiscal matters, then they'd get more votes.
