Why would the Universe create itself just to produce parasites.?

The universe isn't a sentient being complete with wants and motivations, so why would you pose a question that implies that it is?

I think it's more likely the universe was created externally. We have no empirical evidence that anything has ever created itself. Therefore, we must assume that the Universe was created by something else.

Don't leave out hosts. Parasites make no sense without hosts.
