How can I help my terrified rat?
I swear my female rat, Skye has a ratty form of PTSD. It started back in late Jan, when one of my mom's kittens jumped at their cage and knocked it against the desk, I didn't know they could jump that high yet or he wouldn't have been my room.
And now she is scared of every little noise, every little movement. I've given her time to get over it, but it seems to be just getting worse. Most days she won't leave her igloo house when I bring her sister out to play. When I can coax her out, she is very jumpy and when something spooks her, she throws herself at the desk where the cage is.
How can I help her, I hate seeing her so scared. I wonder if she has to see the vet.
I just about spend all day with them, always petting them, talking to them.
