Is small business really struggling that much?

Let's talk about that...

I found this graphic that seems to imply that, while they're not doing as well as they were in the 2000s, they're doing better than they were during most of the 90s...

that doesn't seem to be as weak as many claim on here?

Update:

post a real graphic then...

Update 2:

"sole proprietors" the green line would be small business...

Update 3:

I'm sure some are, and some are not struggling, heck the company I worked for in the 2000s was struggling, but I dont' think that was the norm... single stories don't really give me much of an accurate picture...

ok.. if I buy what your saying... and I don't..!

its small biz that is killing it's self..? and doing so because..??

    your an idiot..!!

try big gov regulators, huge over reaching tax burdens and fines, huge conglomerate lobbyist paying congress to pass legislation to hurt the small guys in lieu of creating huge monopolies and pushing out smaller companies... so the answer to your question is, yes small biz is having a tough go of it right now but not because of the things 'You" think might be going on.. oh and Obama is about to hit small and med and large business with more ACA laws and regulations and huge fines so lets see how many more companies go out of biz and or fire off employees...

Small businesses are struggling. The small businesses I am involved with and know the owners are trying to keep the doors open. Most have downsized, significantly. Some have gone under. It is not better than the 90s.

most are "small" to avoid being at all fair.
