Was nathan deal courageous when he signed the expanded conceal carry bill, dubbed by anti gunners as the "guns everywhere law"?

It will protect law abiding citizens wherever they go.

I agree with griggle. There are too many places where you cannot carry. For instance in Texas you cannot carry in hospitals, at sporting events, places that serve alcohol for a 51% profit including some very nice restaurants, plus churches and places of business if they are posted. Schools are off limits. Some of these make sense, but others do not. I do not favor guns and schools and booze, but just about everywhere else should be OK.

The record of conceal and carry has been so good that there is no reason for so many places to be off limits. If a conceal and carry person had been at lot of places where bad things have happened the concealed licensee with a gun might have made a difference. I'm thinking of the Aurora Theater and the Luby's restaurant in Waco and some others.

Georgia has just recognized this sooner than Texas.

The anti-gun folks just can't get over themselves on any gun related issue that they can malign. Not much new that they would call it by an extreme name. It is what they do.

Nothing says 'courage' like being so fearful of everyone that you have to walk around everywhere with a loaded gun.

i'm not sure courageous is the right word. it's more like plain old common sense. i live in georgia and i think its probably a good idea.

The bad guys prefer unarmed victims!!.

When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option.

Better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!

Pretty soon everyone will be carrying a gun then we will no longer need the police. We can just handle the problems ourselves, make our own laws and be our own judge, jury and executioner. ISN'T FREEDOM GREAT!!
