What Does "Checking Account Verification" Mean When Applying For Medicaid?

I'm applying for Medicaid and I received a letter stating: "Your CHECKING ACCOUNT verification is due on Friday May 16, 2014."

What constitutes verification?

It takes my case worker almost a week to get back to me and I'd like to stay on top of this.

They have to see your bank statements usually for the preceding 3 months to verify your income and assets. They may only be asking for your bank account number. They have to check to see if you have too much money to qualify.

Means you have to send them verification that you have a checking account so they can check and see what goes into the account for qualification purposes.

It means, you give them permission, and they pull some banking records from your bank, to see how much money gets deposited every month, and how much money you spend.

They're trying to make sure you didn't lie about your income.

Hint: There had better be a rent payment to a landlord, for the past few months, in your account, under your name.
