Why do the "neutrals" generally hate man city?
It just really annoys me as a manchester city supporter, that the "neutrals" generally want man city to fail. People say things like: "manchester city has no heart" or "liverpool have been playing better all season". I can guarantee that the majority of man city's supporters are from England and have been supporting even through times of failure. Our team pumps money into the local economy and offers a community centre and jobs for people in Eastern Manchester. And we've been playing consistently well all season - if liverpool have been playing better than us, why are we ahead of them? I know people think that because our owners are rich people in Abu Dhabi, we are only about the money, but that is unfair and untrue - our club is founded on the fans, and they are what have got us through the tough times. If another team got that financial support, would they not take it?
Please could you think about this, rather than abusing us for our money?
And if you're looking at this, prepared to start a rant about how 'heartless' and 'money-based' city are, then can you please just... not?

It's because Manchester City spend money and had a small amount of trophies before 2008 hence the "you've got no history" chants.
But every club had no history at one point, Man City are creating their own history and I think people should accept it.
If Liverpool got bought by a rich Arab, their fans would all say "it wasn't our fault and he had history before him".

Because your club spent over 1 billion pounds in 5 years and has the highest wage bill in sports. You're basically no different to Chelsea, some random small club with fewer league titles than Sheffield Wednesday and fewer European honours than Nottingham Forest gets bought by some dodgy billionaires, they spent endless money, and suddenly their fans think their club is actually big now.
Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal are the biggest 3 clubs in England and built their success ENTIRELY on hard work and pulling themselves up by the bootstraps, they were handed absolutely nothing. Remember that Liverpool and Man Utd were 2nd division sides at one point and legendary managers like Bill Shankly and Alex Ferguson pulled them out of that rut with almost no money and made them international powerhouses. Same cannot be said about how Man City or Chelsea went about it.

They have only become a world class team due to their money. Before that they were just another team. since then they have suddenly got aload of fans too. hence 9/10 man city fans are fake fans. Only supporting the team since the money came in.

It shows how closed minded they are. Any team that beats Everton at Goodison has to be respected. I hope you go on to win the trophy tomorrow.

It's simple. They "bought" it and people hate it.

IMO they are bought, not built. and I always feel like they are hording top players, Making it harder for lesser sides to compete.
Though the matches are great, the difference in points from top to bottom in the league is astounding.
I credit some of that to the policy of holding players. City are not alone in this tho.

Man City buy titles. They will forever be known as a club that buys history. You see, normal clubs wait for their chance to be successful through hard work and building from the youth team, not throwing money at everything. For example United, when we had the Class of 92 coming though the ranks, money was starting to get big in the game and that coupled with them winning titles the money won allowed us to buy big name players, add that to the team we had already built meant we just got stronger. Man City don't have one youth team player in their squad, and they only have one English player in the starting 11. Who is their most famous youth player? Dedryck Boyta? Micah Richards? The whole squad has been bought, I don't think there is one player left from before the takeover in 2009. So basically you're spending the money of an Arab and have not earned anything. This is why people aren't bothered that you win the league because it kind of feels like an artificial win, this is why Man Utd fans would rather you win over Liverpool, because our rivalry isn't real we just share the same vicinity. This is why you're known as a plastic club, that's the truth.

Because all they see is money. They don't see the stuff that's happening off the pitch. They don't see the Charity work, the new academy, the 6th form college they're building, the improvement of the local area. They don't see how much has been invested on youth development.
There really is no reason to hate Manchester City unless you're a jealous %#$£ or you know nothing about the club.

They don't use their youth system & buy players from other countries that are at optimum level. Simple

You have gotta learn to suck it up if your team are going to be successful
