Better vacation spot in Mexico, Ixtapa or Huatulco?

    I had the same question a few weeks ago and decided to go to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

    Depends on what you like, Huatulco is very hot, the beaches and the ocean is better in Huatulco. Huatulco is more old Mexico and I prefer it over the Ixtapa area.

    Ixtapa is only 5 star plus. (I do not like)

    Zihuatanejo is down the hill from Ixtapa, and I like very much.

    Huatulco is in an out of the way location. I have not been, because I did not want to go to an out of the way place.
