How to respond to this email from an employeer?

"Ok, I will take that into consideration. I still have not made a decision, but hope to soon."

Context: The employer has received my job application and he/she has taken into consideration my availability. Do I just say "okay thank you"?

You do not need to elaborate or make your email so long that the employer would get tired reading them, you are right a simple thank you just like you wrote here will do the trick.

No need to respond at all. Unless you remembered something special that you had previously omitted. He knows you are interested and he has your contact information. Keep applying at other places so that you don't let your mind dwell on any one job offer. The odds are high that he has received 10 applications. 5 of them might be great employees but he only has one opening.
