When the New York Times finally goes out of business will the US media become more politically honest or is it lost forever?

Update:

Momanuke: The newspapers are not making any money with their on-line offerings.

Update 2:

Bada Bang: I don't think the NY Times is doing well at all. They are losing money and their stock is steadily falling. As long as Pinch manages the NYT it will lose money. I bet he sells it.

In order for the Media to be honest, you have to get rid of Fox News.

The NY Times is doing just fine, considering the industry they are in is rather putrid as far as future prospects go..

When? When Americans will stop believe in lies and start take it more serious.

Good q. Free market principles dictate more honesty. But the US govt is no fan of the free market. I suspect they will be subsidized and prosper even after we collapse.

No. They won't go down any time in the foreseeable future. They have moved the majority of their business to on line, just as so many others have. And they will continue to win Pulitzers and other awards for their investigative journalism, which you obviously wouldn't recognize if it bit you on the bohunkus.

So if a newspaper does not repeat the partisan slant of Fox, it is being dishonest?
