How do I make £500 at the age of 14?

My grandma (to whom I live with) wont buy me a next gen console out of spite. In fact, she bought me a more expensive laptop. She doesn't believe in video games and ALL of my social life was based around my Xbox until my friends got the Xbox One. I used to get invited out whilst on Xbox One but now I am essentially "socially dead". I'd like to buy a next-gen console but my nan is just super hard to reason with. HELPY WELP IS NEEDED!!!

well if it isn't your birthday and it most definitely isn't Christmas then I'm afraid you are going to at least show willing to earn some money to buy yourself console yourself. so go around to the neighbours with a willing smile and see if they want their car washed, gardening help and windows washed. sure its going to take a while but at least you will find out how hard it is to make the money you seem to take for granted.

She bought you a super expensive laptop, and you're complaining. How about living in Africa for one week, and then you can see, just how much you've got.

Offering a real reason here. Explain how much you would like the console/offer to do jobs around the house/ GET INTO PC GAMING- tonnes of pc exclusives and most games are better or pc anyway. I have dozens of friends made from pc gaming and the community is thriving. Also look for a decent paid paper round. Good luck and haply gaming XD

Helpy... Welp... is needed. *facedesk* Sorry that was.. I'm sorry don't do that.

Seriously though? Join a different community.. if she is buying you a better laptop, get her to get you a better /gaming/ laptop. The PC community is pretty rich. As for making 500 Euros at the age of 14, forget it. Sorry but you'd have to have some crazy good talent to pull that off in a reasonable amount of time.

Out of spite? You sound rather spoilt to me. Lots of kids don't have the latest "stuff." The answer is you put down your games, get out of your bedroom and get a job. Washing up in the pub? Sweeping up hair at the barbers on Saturday? Paperboy/girl? Cutting peoples' lawns?

Gardening and weeding is a good one actually. It's cash in hand and there's a lot of people wanting a hand with their garden this time of year. You have to work for it though. People don't want to pay someone who can only push a lawn mower at speeds of slow, dead slow or indetectable. I suppose it depends how much you want that £500.
