Carrot Cake, sides unfrosted, placed in a cake stand with a lid from glass, will it stay moist in 5 days time?
I made a Carrot Cake made out of oil not butter... which will be consumed on Sunday afternoon
For some reason, I made that on thursday, filled and top with Lemon buttercream, left the sides unfrosted at all
I put it in a cake stand closed with a dome lid made out of glass, and asked the customer to leave it in room temperature as it is, was sure that it won't make the cake dry out.. as long as remain uncut...
But now I am for some reason getting worried that it actually would dry out. as I left the sides unfrosted
have you have experience or knowledge with this... do you think it would remain fresh and not dry out for the next 4 days (thursday to sunday)
thank you
here is the photo of it

5 days is a long time.
If this was a cake that was ordered and paid for I am surprised the customer would accept it so far in advance.
I would have frosted the sides for the very reason you state.
