Best way to get rid of old computer parts, phones, computer disks, etc?
I have a good sized amount of this stuff and want to get rid of it all. Includes old hard drives that are damaged, broken video cards, old zip disks and floppy disks, and a couple of older cell phones. A few computer cables as well. Concerned about someone stealing info off any of these, particular the disks and phones. Would prefer to find a recycling center for it all, but wonder how to prevent someone from stealing info. (The phones are old and don't remember how to even turn them on, and/or if data was removed.) There are at least 300+ computer disks here, and no way am I going thru every single one.
Wonder if any safer to toss this stuff in regular trash? Anyone have any insight on this topic?

There may be someplace in your area where these items, or at least a majority of them, could be recycled or destroyed by some means. The only caveat would be if any of the hard drives or disks could possibly contain personal information of a sensitive nature.
