Should we have more tax or budget an axe?

Government waste needs to stop. The people should demand a 5% cut across the board. Nothing will be missed.

Government if you count Local,State an Federal take more than half that is more than enough time for a hiring an wage freeze an cut all budgets 2% a year till we are out of the whole.

Realistically we're going to need both. We can't close the deficit through spending cuts alone without making serious, even drastic, cuts to programs which people like. And we can't close the deficit through tax increases alone without raising rates to levels which most people would find unacceptable. We're going to need to do some more cuts to spending and some tax increases.

It is better when you answer questions in this form than when you ask them because it demonstrates that you are ad libbing.

Budget and cut spending first. This must be first or any extra taxes will be quickly wasted.
