Is McDonald's demand for low wages for its workers the beginning of a GOP plot to bring back slavery?
If slaves made the burgers and did everything else for free, prices would be real low! Even only the 1% who were not slaves would have money to pay the low prices. Really, most of you low-level cons know you don't deserve any wages.

Sort of silly....Republicans ended slavery....??? why would they want it back.....in fact it was Republicans who gave us the 1968 Civil Rights bill OVER the objection of the Democrats....who tried to stop it
Republicans gave you Affirmative Action and created the NAACP.... and the reason the NRA was formed
was to protect black people from KKK Democrats
Minimum wade causes spiraling inflation.... does NOT give anyone a "living wage" because as soon as you get it the prices go up... for everyone... zero gain that cost people jobs...it is not about "slavery"

With miniscule exceptions, wages across all businesses are flat. There are many reasons. But reason number-one is the one-percent's drooling and insatiable greed.
Pure and simple.
The 100% profit margin is in the not-too-distant future.

Beginning? Bringing back the good old days when the worker did as they were told (and were grateful for any scraps the master gave them) and the rich do as they please, is their idea of "free market".

Slavery is forced on people. People who work at McDonald's asked them for the job. If they don't like working there they should ask someone else to hire them. That is if they have any education, job skills, work ethic and can pass a drug test. If not, they should be thankful to anyone who will give them a job.
