how can I get my female boxer to gain weight?

my boxer is 7 she has always been a picky eater I feed her wellness simple solutions grain free turkey and potato dry plus wet and she won't eat twice in a day maybe once every other day she will eat . I don't give her any table food nor any Treats that r over the counter if she would eat more than she would have some meat on her body she is trim but not to we're u can see her ribs I have taken her to her vet and the Vet said she is healthy just picky . what do think could help her put some weight on. ?

    Well, it sounds like you are giving her high wuality food.

    im not sure i would want my dog to put on weight.

    Animals in the wold normally skip days and not eat.

    sometimes its not even up to them.

    If their bodies are trained to miss days to be healthy

    i wouldnt worry about it.

    a lot of people dont realize eating extra protein creates toxins

    especially if that protein is not needed

    its something the body just has to dispose of.

    There was a study done to find out how to increase longevity

    (in humans)

    and the ONLY thing they found that made people live longer, was skipping meals.

    no vitamins, no medicine, no special foods.

    maybe give her a diffeent type of food every few days.

    My dog died yesterday after 18 yrs

    i always changed up her food every few days

    (i would keep 3 brands open)

    that way she didnt get tired of it

    and if one was low in 1 particular vitamin or nutrient

    it was high in the other...

    i also gave her beet root and alfalfa ever few days.
