Fundamentalist Christians, is there anything that could be in the Bible that you would disbelieve?

Let's imagine that somehow there was a portion of the Bible that you had never read before.

You already have a talking serpent, a man who lived for three days in a fish, a body of water parting, the sun standing still, a talking donkey, and hundreds of thousands of animals on a boat for a year. Is there anything that would make you say, "No way! That can't possibly be true"? Anything?

Hopefully they disbelieve the part about rabbits chewing their cud. You'd have to be crazy to believe something that is demonstrably false.

There are many things in the Bible that I don't understand, but that does not extend into disbelief.

In fact, we haven't even scratched the surface of understanding the physical world, much less the spiritual world of God. "In my Father's house are many mansions." So, those things we need are revealed to us, but Bible things we don't need we may never understand, or need to.

But knowledge and understanding the Bible are reserved for those who need to understand something specifically. That is because the Bible is a book of "Revelation", not at all like any other book. People receive what they need from the Bible when they need it, and what they need; not necessarily what they want. Of course a simple observation shows inconsistencies in the Bible, and even things that appear wrong. But, it's all a matter of "Revelation" and whether we need it to be revealed to us.

Any attempt to understand the Bible like other books will fail; there is nothing else like it. Most great thinkers understand that, and so did the founding fathers of the United States.
