What other sites out there are similar to Yahoo?
I have been a Yahoo User for years but the level of advertising they are throwing at us is really getting to be rediculous and I am looking for a new home page. I know that I cannot avoid advertising, I am just looking for a better mix of content to advertising. Any Suggestions?

Yahoo is still the best but it will be interesting to see if the ads are enuf to tip the balance. YOu can use reddit or gawker as a home page. It is also a good idea to use a site that is mostly black and while text with no ads and few colors. Those pages load super-fast and you can go from them to your bookmarks. Yahoo says you can post a complaint about the ads at yahoo.uservoice.com but it doesn't seem like anyone is reading them.
