Should I get the EVGA GTX 770 2gb or 4gb Edition?

I'm planning to eventually SLI but that'll probably take a couple years or so to eventually obtain another GTX 770. So is the GTX 770 4gb still worth it? I've also read that the GTX 770 4gb doesn't exceed 4gb with a single card.

Update:

Also I'm planning to do dual monitor 1080p each.

depends on the resolution you will be using. I have 3 monitors at 1080p, so I got the 4gb version, and i'm glad i did, playing Bioshock: Infinite takes very close to 3gb of vram. If you play on only one 1080p monitor, 4gb is more than you likely need.

as to not exceeding 4gb when you sli, this is true of any card. 3x4gb of vram is still 4gb of effective vram.

All benchmarks between the two cards are identical on all resolutions, including a triple monitor resolution. However, if you ever plan on putting the card into SLI (which I don't recommend doing unless it's an upgrade, not an immediate option), your GPU will have enough power to plow through more than 2GB.

If you don't SLI, get 2GB. If you are going to SLI, then yes, the 4GB would be worth it.
