Why do people say exercise helps with mood?

It doesn't help me out at all. I always feel like crap no matter what I do. I run miles half the week and weight lift the other and still doesnt help

    It can do, but it isn't guaranteed for everyone. Don't expect to get a buzz after every, or even any, workout.

    I spent years running and never once got the fabled 'runners high' but after changing over to weight training, EVERY time I do my heavy Deadlift session I gets a smug.
