Is it legal to reverse your year and month sticker on license plate?

I live in California, and I was wondering if it's legal to put the month license plate sticker on the right, and year on the left, and make both upside down. I couldn't find the cvc for license plate stickers, if someone could quote it or link me, that would be great. Thanks :)

    Illegal

    Improperly displaying the validation stickers means you get a ticket. Just like if you decided not to put your plate on the car.

    but you could do it.

    Maybe get a QUESTION AUTHORITY bumper sticker to go with it...
