will doing intervals for 30 mins every day help me lose weight ?

im 14 and overweight and need to lose weight and im not just being silly actually need to lose weight im 160lbs and 5'5" so i was wondering if i go running and do intervals for 30 mins everyday and of course eat less and better will i lose weight ?? and how much ?? id really like to lose 20-30 by august

    Yes, it will. You also need to keep a balanced diet. You should focus on lots of cardio too.

    Also remember to give your body a rest sometimes.

    I used to be very fat, and people would make fun of my jiggling manboobs. I lost a lot of weight doing a mixture of basketball and Billy Blanks Tae Bo celebrity fit cardio.

    Twenty to thirty pounds is a lot to loose in two months. Intervals are great for weight loss! Make sure you are sprinting more than you are walking. And take a short jog before you start your intervals. Also, lifting weights would help you lose weight. A five pound barbell at Walmart cost about 5 dollars a piece. Swimming laps in the pool is another great way to lose weight! But please, do NOT eat less. With all the excersize you will be doing you need to eat. Eat a lot of good foods!! Good luck and don't give up!
