How can you freeze a video?

Is there a way to stop a video and be able to freeze it long enough to be able to download a photo from it? I have a couple of video's that are OK but the have some great photos within them that I would like to make into prints. Hoe does one do this?

You need a video editor, some have a snapshot feature to take a still photo of what is on the screen.

there are a number of ways to do it BUT in this world of megapixels remember that a video frame does not have the pixel detail we have become used to in pictures. even an HD frame is only 2 megapixel. a standard definition frame is only "email" or "thumb nail" quality at best.

Looks like it's going to do a good job. Thanks.
