Why do insurance companies tell me that if they cant get all of my bussiness they dont want any of it?
I am trying to get a quote on one of my houses, but no one will if they cant insure both of my homes; looks like if I was happy with one of their policies I would be more likely to buy another policy.. insurance agents respond only ,,please I think a new customer would be good for any business.

Those agents don't appreciate your business. One policy pays the same commission as two. It is paid by a percentage of the total premium. They are fools. Find an insurance agent you are comfortable with and one that will take one policy or all of them.
To get the most discounts you should keep all your policies with one company. But not always. Keep shopping.

Not ALL "new customers" are good for business. Some lines of business - particularly rental properties - take a LOT of work on the part of the agent; it's the line of personal insurance MOST likely to have claims, and considering the service work, it's the LEAST profitable.
Just like, you don't want to rent your house to someone for $200 a month . . .I don't want to put in 25 hours of work on a policy that will make me $50 profit, and ding my claims records.
People tend to want to shop out the "junk" - the harder to place stuff, the stuff that doesn't make much money for the agent - and keep the "good" part with their buddy (that, ironically, ALSO doesn't want to insure the junk).
If you've got someone telling you that they won't write a rental policy stand alone, that they won't write your workers comp stand alone, that they won't write your (insert high risk, low premium here) alone, you can assume it's because of the work vs. income ratio.
Alternatively, I'll write ANYTHING someone wants me to write for you - for a service fee instead of commission. My service fee for this type of business, STARTS at $5,000. People looking to shop out their low priced junk, don't usually want to pay this fee. But hey, they don't want to rent me an office space for $200 a month, either; they won't replace the roof of my house for $500; etc.
Just like you, they need to spend their time on PROFITABLE business; not business where they lose money.
