Email attachment problem?
I was expecting an email from this sender with an attachment, and when it arrived the attachment was:
title.rtf.txt
I downloaded it and opened with notepad, and it just read:
"title.rtf has been blocked by the recipient policy."
I am using the outlook.com web mail.
does this mean that they sent an rtf file which has been blocked, or that they didn't upload it correctly, where has this message come from, and can i do anything to get it unblocked?
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like the security features in outlook found something "suspicious" in the file.
Here's two ideas for you.
1. Have the sender turn the file into a zip file. The compression in turning it into a zip file may be enough to overcome the security feature in outlook.
2. If the sender uses Dropbox, they can upload it to their Public Folder in Dropbox. Dropbox will then create a link that you can use to download the file. This method completely bypasses the security features in outlook.
