Passport trouble, urgent. Please help?
So, I got my passport renewed recently, through the post office, and I was given a receipt for it, but for the life of me I cannot remember what I've done with it... And apparently it's the only proof that my passport has been sent away to get renewed... And if I don't get my passport soon I'm pretty f**ked... Is there any way if I have to enquire and don't have the reference number, that the post office might have it?

97% of passport renewals are being processed within three weeks. The backlog mainly involves first time passports and overseas applications.
If you used the Check and Send or Fast Track systems, you won't get caught up in the delays.

You mean the passport office claim they haven't received it?
It might be a good idea to send another passport application ASAP if the office hasn't received it.
And send it with tracking, or deliver it to the passport office if possible.

Go and speak to the PO you applied for it from, they may help ( they may not) really depends on how busy they are and if they are prepared to go through their paperwork, so if you know the day, time etc you went in and if it is a local small PO they are more likley to help
