veggie garden problems. help please!!!?

I'm growing broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes (sweet cherry and big boy), and. Cauliflower. All plants thrived and grew massive just weeks after transplanting. Insect problems were nonexistent up until a week ago... I started noticing a few tiny holes so I got out my trusty soap water mixture(1 part dawn 4 parts water) and spritzed each plant just enough to dampen. Here we are 4 days later and it looks like my broccoli plants have suffered a major bug problem. There are holes everywhere and now browning has started occurring. Is there any way to save my poor broccoli? Seems such a shame after all the tlc and time I've put into my garden to just watch it all go downhill. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

I figured we could still eat the leaves but I was really wondering if the issues shown in the picture would affect the broccoli growing. No crowns have started yet it's just very leafy right now. Thanks for letting me know it's still edible though :)

Update 2:

Wanted to say that I'm a first time broccoli grower...so I guess I over freaked when one day it was perfect and a few days later it looked like this. Thanks for the info :)

They actually look pretty good to me. A few holes is not a "major" bug problem.

Using an insecticidal soap or other insect repellent/killer once a week will help control any new outbreaks. But you look like you're doing fine. Worry less. Have a glass of lemonade.

P.S. Carbaryl, aka "Sevin" is listed by the USDA as a "probable carcinogen" and is banned in most European countries. It's amazing they still allow it to be labeled for vegetable gardens. I would not use it on any edibles myself.

If your not opposed to using chemical insectacides I would recommend using carbaryl. It's sold under the brand name sevin and is a safe insectacide. It comes in liquid concentrate or dust that's sprinkled on the plant. It kills nearly all insects but is not toxic to humans or vertebra animals so it won't harm any pets. It's has. A short withdrawl period which means you can eat your vegetables within a few days of application and can be used on almost all plants.

1-To cure the veggie plant ,first cut the sucker branches and leaves ,those are bottom leaves that it just take the nutrition without give any good.

2- watering the plants only by the root and on the soil around the root ignore watering all over the plants .

3- Harvest extra plants and grasses that are growing around the main plant .

4- spray anti insect 2 week once ,reason watering it wash-up the spray and insect will act again.

You know, we can still eat the leaves that you showed in the picture

even with the few holes in them. Just make sure that you wash them well before cooking.
