p0340 code on a 2008 altima 3.5 CVT?

can a p0340 code be related or caused by the CVT transmission slipping on a 2008 altima 3.5 sedan

both camshaft position sensors have been replaced and circuits are good. it only happens under acceleration above 2000 rpm., feels like a slip or a jerk, car goes to limp mode with the check engine light, traction control system off and slip light come one and stay on.

just thinking what can cause that. anything and everything and possible solutions

The cam timing is out of whack because the camshft solenoid valves are gummed up. You can remove and clean or replace them and your code won't return.
