i dyed my hair blue and when i took a shower it ALL came out ?

i dyed my ends blue and of course first i bleached them then i washed it out and blow dried my hair and it wasnt 100% dry but yea then we put the blue on over the bleached parts and left it for idk like an hour maybe more and then i went into the shower and in FREEZING cold water i washed my hair with just conditioner and i looked at my hair while i was showering and i saw sO much blonde in it even though we had like caked my hair with blue dye. so i get out of the shower and towel dry it a little and look at it in the mirror and the color is a very faded blue almost as if id had it for weeks and there was blonde EVERYWHERE it looks awful and last time i did it it was great why happened ?? why did the color come out so much and what can i do to fix it ??
