What is a good way to avoid depression?

I have had a problem with depression for so long,I am engaged and my fiancé doesn't even notice my depression.I can't talk to my family about it, because I think I am an outcast to them.I don't feel accepted by society either.I am trying to cope with not having friends, family,or a person who cares about me.I don't have money which no one does these days, but i have been to see doctors about how I am feeling. It just seems like everything is wrong, can't find a decent job, can't finish my school next semester,I'm about to lose everything.I know someone has been here and done that .First it seemed like I was angry all the time now it seems as if I have been yelling to long and no one listened to me and now I'm getting depressed.I know hobbies are a good way to relieve stress and all but cleaning and writing are now played out.Thank you

Hi, I'm Devon. I know depression is hard to deal with. There are many things to do to handle this problem though. If you are religious, go to your church or spiritual group whenever you can. There is always someone that will listen.

It's best that you teach yourself what is right if no one is there to teach you.

Maybe keep a journal to write everything down in, and then go back and look at it later and see if you have improved from the last time. I know you said writing had already been played out, so maybe you could use the old writing, organize it, and see what your main 'problems' are. Then (if you want) look up those category's on the internet or brainstorm ideas to handle them. (It's easier to be alone when this happens.)

Daily plans always help me to keep organized, and to get things done. Calendars & note books always help with this. This is what helps ME. So maybe this will help you. Good luck!

The first thing you have to do is learn to love and value yourself. Self love is very important. I don't have friends nor go out much. I spend my days in my house alone. I love being alone and it feels great. I do go out to the gym, shopping and to do the things i have to do. I am happier alone than when i'm with people. It has been scientifically proven that comedy is good for your health. Watch comedy as much as you can. It will help you fight your depression. Laughter is the best medicine.

It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy & truth. The boy thought about it, and asked; "Grandfather, which wolf wins?" And the grandfather quietly replied: "the one you feed"
