Want to lose weight. Meal Plan questions?
I want to get serious about losing weight. I weigh about 175-180 pounds. I'm 5'4, 21 years old, and female. I think the place to start would be with how I eat so I want to start making meal plans for myself but I don't really know where to start. For example, portions, what's healthy vs what isn't healthy, etc. So is there a website I can go to that helps me coming up with meal plans?

Start with a simple food journal that will aid you in reaching your goals. There are plenty examples on the internet.
Next, start to challenge your beliefs about certain foods like saturated fats, sugars, wheat, and processed foods.
I hate the word diet. It means deprivation to me, so I like dietary strategy which implies that I am eating to my choices. It took me decades to find out that I was not a low carb person, that mixing carbs and fats worked a bit better but not as good as a low carb high fat diet. I'll tell you straight up to save you time...if you want to lose weight you have to throw away fatty foods,fried food,fast food,candy,chips,Soda,etc.stick to drinking only water.drink 2% milk also to keep your calcium up.eat more vegetables,wheat bread,wal nuts, peanuts.instead of eating 3 big meals a day make it 6 small portions.every other hour.try rice,salmon,etc.eat a lot of fruit.Also for exercise do more cardio than anything.

soups can be both filling and comforting try making a garden or bean soup with low salt broth and store in portion sized cups for later
