What would you buy for your spouse if you had an extra $40 to spend?

Go out to dinner. It might not cover the entire bill, but it would contribute :)

Flowers. That's roughly what I usually spend for "no reason at all except I love you" flowers.

Something you both would enjoy, like a new video game or a star wars box set.

split the bill. she take 20 and i take 20.

Chocolates.

1) a noon meal for 2 at a good restaurant, $15

2) small piece of jewelry, a broach or necklace $20

3) she loves to cook, so an unusual spice for cooking $5

Buy her a nice present

Save it until I had a lot more than that and then buy something.

Go as couple to movies or pay off half bill.
