Should I go to college?
I just finished high school and I'm planning on what to do with my life. To make things a little bit clearer I'm a born again Christian. I'm going to college to earn more money but simply because I don't plan on living on a minimum wage for the rest of my life. I plan on eating organic and that can get a little pricy. I like to draw and I've been recently looking into animation and graphic designing. I originally planned to work for a big name company for the money but I changed my mind. Besides, I don't to be working on pieces with subliminal messages and satanic symbolism. I don't want to contribute to the rotting of kids' brains. I want to go into animation but for making Christian cartoons but a job like that is going to be hard to find so I'm considering graphic design. I just don't know if I really want to go to college. In the end it's not going to matter if i became wealthy or not. Besides, I want to fully give my life to Christ and help others. I prefer going into a job where I'm doing labor than working in a job where I have to socialize with people a lot. I want to avoid talking with people because most just talk about secular/worldly things. I need help deciding if I should go to college and pursue an ok career or get a job that pays the equivalent but it involves actual labor. I just want to live simple, get by, and devote my life to Christ. Please only serious answers. If you're gonna bash on Christianity or be a troll take it somewhere else.

In my opinion, college life is a part of the whole life for a person that you should not miss it. You can learn not only the science knowledge, but also the knowledge about you youth life in the college. It can rich your mind, and more important, many students experience the turly growth when they complete the college.

If you want to be a graphic designer, deal with the fact that you have to make some unchristian designs.

Your best bet is to go to a Community College. Much less costly than "Ivy League" type Schools and you can get a good, practical education.
My Daughter took Legal Secretary classes at a Community College and she makes VERY GOOD money as a legal assistant! She has been with the same firm for over 30years. Good job security there!
My Grand Daughter got her teaching degree at a Community College and she makes GOOD money. She has been teaching for over 13 years in the same School district and also has good job security. She recently completed her Masters, and will be getting a nice raise.
Staying close to home to go to school makes economic sense in that you can eat, sleep and play for a LOT less locally.

So become a nurse or fire-fighter.

I think if you are of two minds about it, it's a good idea to take a year and think carefully about it before you invest the sort of money that college takes into a year that may or may not lead to a degree.
What if you found a job and then took a couple of classes at a community college for the first year while you continue to pray about what direction your life should take.
Not going to college doesn't necessarily mean living on minimum wage, by the way, there are many fields you can get into to earn good money without a degree:
