Is it too much to take Bio and Chem first semester of college?

Im going to be a freshman in college next year and I am trying to make some optional schedules. brief description of my school: has 2 semesters per year (some colleges are different) and is a liberal arts school, so I have a lot of core classes I have to take.

Okay so my freshman year I have to take bio and chem, first semester I take general chem and second I take Chem 2. I have to take one class of Bio, I can either take it first or second semester (no avoiding taking them together).

MY question is, should I jam pack my schedule for my first semester (because I have to make sure the labs fit in somewhere) or do I chose to take one of the easier non science classes that are required for my core requirements and have more open time?

I am a very good student and I believe that I can handle 2 at the same time, but then again... its college haha. Please give me opinions/advice!

i think general chem and bio isn't bad at all. Orgo is tough. Overall, if you are at all competent and hardworking, you should be able to handle those two classes. Just do your homework, practice, read text book, and practice exams. Those two classes shouldn't give you a headache.
