  • Not sure if I am official with guy I have been seeing, and am not sure how to ask?

    Some general info:

    - There is an 11 year age gap between us, causing me to have some confidence issues

    - We have been seeing each other for a month, and talking everyday for 2mo

    - I am in college and will be returning to school soon, which is 2 hours away from where he lives

This past Friday he met my family and I attended a work event with him, he didn't introduce me as his girlfriend, but it was like "Hey guys! This is the girl I have been talking about". Also, later in the evening at the event, he was openly putting his arm around my waist, holding my hand, and occasionally kissing me on the forehead when we were talking with his coworkers.

Last night we hung out at his house and watched a movie, he teased me about returning to school. We had sex (not the first time), afterwards when we were cuddling in bed, I was going to ask him if we were officially together, but I chickened out. I said instead, "I'm really going to miss this", which he mistook "this" for being the sex and not just being around him, so he made a joke about me having a vibrator to get me by. I texted him saying I would really miss seeing him once I return to school, and he responded saying "Don't worry I will let you bother me through text and snapchat all the time". I told him that I will visit, and he said "good! (:".

Is it okay for me to pose this question through text? Getting the answer soon will relieve my anxiety..

Or should I figure out a way to ask him this weekend (in person)?

  • How to tell parents/family I have been seeing someone who is older?

I am 20 and he is 31, we met online (on an app through chat). Not a LDR, he actually lives in my town. We have met up about 5-6 times now to hang out at his house, went out on a couple dinner/lunch dates... and just recently stayed over his house.

Keeping this a secret from my family is driving me insane. Usually my parents aren't very nosey, but ever since I broke up with my previous boyfriend they are always asking where I am going. I also have extended family visiting, who are also being quite nosey to what I'm doing and where I am going. (Poor timing)

I am suppose to be seeing him tomorrow, and I am honestly running out of excuses to where I am going. Should I tell them before I go over his house? I am not sure what to tell them...

Should I immediately mention his age, or wait it out until they are used to me dating someone new?

Should I just say "I am going on a date with a guy I met"? I'm just concerned about what follow up questions they will have and how I will handle them.

Recently when I have been going over his house he asks me, "Did you tell them where you actually went this time?" and when I say no he seems a little disappointed.

  • Is this a good sign that we are "in a relationship"?

Hello, I met a guy in kinda an unconventional way. At the time I was in a struggling relationship and I began talking to this guy, who is 11 years older than me, online. This guy who I met online actually ended up living in my town, so we started to hang out with each other. We went out to lunch first, and now I've gone to hang out at his house about 5 times now and stayed the night the most recent time. I've been going back and forth because I am not sure what he is thinking. He took me out to dinner the other night and he mentioned at dinner that his company is having a party at a fancy beach club in our town, and he would like me attend it with him (so everyone he works with will be attending).

I am just curious if this is a sign that he's starting to see us as "in a relationship"? I know I need to talk to him about it first, but just curious if people think that he's starting to see us in this way.

  • I decided not to apply for a job, but two people filled out reference forms for me already, what do I do?

Hello, I was applying for a position as an orientation leader at my school, but I discovered that the position is going to conflict with 2 summer course I NEED to take. I feel really bad because I know the two people I asked already completed the form, and now this was a complete waste of their time. However, the form was very "low-key" as in it didn't require a letter of recommendation. It was just a form and it asked the person recommending me to write a few sentences of why I would be good for the job. Regardless, I still feel bad and I know I should tell them that I decided not to apply since they will be eventually asking me if I got the job.

What should I say to them? One is my current boss and I think she will understand completely, but the other is a professor and I don't want to piss her off lol

  • Ive had a cough for over 3 weeks, what do I do?

It's been almost 4 weeks and I have had a cough that has gotten progressively worse. It's a wet cough and I have had a runny nose and have felt very tired recently. Recently I have been having diarrhea too. I am at college and I am not sure what to do because the health services at my school isn't necessarily great. I live 2 hours from home and I don't know if I should head home to go to the doctor if this is something serious. I have been missing classes and the stress level of school isn't making this any better... at this point I am not sure what to do.

  • Why are breakfast meals not making me feel full?

I have issues with this for meals in general, but it is normally for breakfast.

Normally I will make scrambled eggs (2 eggs) with 2 pieces of toast and a cup of coffee. Sometimes I will put avocado on the toast, and other times just butter. Not even 2 hours later I will feel so hungry. Today I ate breakfast at 6:30 and now I am starving at 8:30. Is this normal or should I be eating more for breakfast? Is two hours after breakfast a good time to eat a morning snack? If so, what should I eat to make me last until lunch?

    Thanks!

  • I hate my summer job, what should I do?

My sister offered me a job at her work, and I have been working here for 3 weeks now and I absolutely hate it. My hours are not set because I am a "fill-in" so I am just placed where I am needed and that is something I was not aware of going into the job.

The only set hours I have are from 7am-9am every day, which is fine but the rest of my hours are all over the place. Some days those are my only hours, and other days I will have a 10+ hour day. And the WORST PART of all this is that I do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

The work I do is with special needs adults. Basically we teach the adults life skills on how to live alone. This requires me to drive all over the place which is putting extreme wear and tear on my car. Also, this is no where near my field of study (Environmental Engineering) and I am very uncomfortable with the "work" that I do.

I feel like my summer is being blown away and the only thing I am getting out of this job is frustration and a little bit of money.

What should I do? Should I tell my sister? She does the scheduling so I think she can help alter my schedule so that it is bearable.

  • Never alone to have sex?

My boyfriend and I are both going off to college, he's a sophomore and I'm a freshman. We've been dating for 2 years, and I finally felt comfortable enough to have sex with him. We were both virgins, everything went swimmingly, wahoo!

Issue is, the firs time we "did it" we were incredibly lucky, his step brother just left the house and right as we were done his mom was entering the house and I hid in the bathroom. The second time it happened his step brother literally just got home as again we finished and I was getting my clothes back on.

So the issue here is we want to get more experience but the house never seems empty for long enough (or it is literally for JUST long enough). His parents are never home in the day until 5 but his step brother is always home and doesn't leave for work until 4. It leaves an hour but it's usually a hit or miss if his mom comes home early or something interrupts. My house is off limits because my parents are always home or unpredictable.

So is there anything we can do? I don't know if I'm open to "public" sex (really anything off a bed.... Maybe couch. Or are we just on our own until we got back to college (we are at close schools) since he has a single room.. Thanks for the help in advance!

  • What was your "first time" like?

I just lost my "V-Card" and I was curious to how it was to everyone else? (I am over 18, I cringe at the 14 year olds that were able to have sex so early... I don't know how that would be possible, not for me!)

It was kinda what I expected, I have been dating my boyfriend for 2 years and we waited until I was completely ready. It actually really wasn't awkward like a lot of others say it was for them.. And it was very very short.

Also I didn't bleed, is that normal? All I felt was a little discomfort but it didn't really hurt! Was I just lucky or have other had it easy too?!

So how was your first time and did you regret how yours was?

  • Why am I so protective of my Ex-Boyfriend?

I dated a guy for a couple years (It was long distance so the majority of the time we weren't together) and we went on and off some summers. He visits for 1-3 weeks in the summer, and it would basically be like a summer fling that we tried to continue when he left but it never really worked.

Anyways, I got myself a new boyfriend who I have been dating for 2 years. My Ex, his brother, my boyfriend and I all hang out together and we all have fun..

BUT, my ex has been getting into some bad stuff and hanging out with people I hate in the summer. Recently he's started smoking pot, and is ravenous over it. He's been telling me (proudly) how he cheats on girls and how he likes to date younger girls. He tells me about all his sexual endeavors, and I know most of them are most likely fake.

(he told me he got road head *which was the first time he got head* and he DIDNT ***.... thats a little suspect)

Anyways, I'm really protective of him. I want to grab him by the shoulders and tell him to cut it out. He's doing terrible in school and is not going to get into a good college. He's going down a bad path. Also now he's going on summer flings with all the odd girls I don't like. I keep having talks with him and telling him that he needs to stop and think about his future..

Why do I even care? Is he doing some of these things to make me jealous? Or is he jealous of where I am at now?

  • My boyfriend is getting frustrated because we haven't had sex yet?

My boyfriend and I have ben dating for 2 years, I am 18 and he is 19. I just started birth control, but recently both our lives have been crazy so we haven't had the chance to actually do it yet..

He's getting really frustrated... he's saying things like "Why do I even try anymore" "Sex is fake it's never going to happen" "nothing works in my favor, and we are never going to have sex until we're 20".

He's being really dramatic about it... because even though we are going to be going off to college soon, we will be a couple miles away from each other, and he has his own apartment...

He's also frustrated because I don't really care. I personally have zero sex drive and really could care less when we have sex. He's just annoying the hell out of me because right now is a very busy time and we are having a lot of interferences. What am I suppose to do about him? and is this normal?

  • Something knocked water on to my Mac?

My Mac is under a year old, today I went to the store and came home and my Mac was covered in water. I have no idea how it happened, all I saw was a big puddle from a glass that tipped over right on to the laptop.

I quickly got a washcloth and got all the water off of it and opened it and proceeded to sign on as the backlight of the keyboard started shutting down. It froze and I tried to turn it off but it reset. The screen flickered, and now it's dead.

I have no idea what to do, I don't know what happened and I'm terrified it won't be covered. This Mac is my baby, I treat it so well! It was a gift for college that my whole family chipped in for and I am heart broken! What do I do?

  • My parents aren't helping me prepare for college?

Im going away to college in just a little bit over a month and I am getting concerned because my parents haven't been helping me get prepared. Every time I ask to go out and go looking for stuff with my parents my mom says it is too early to start school shopping, or she changes the subject. I've been talking to other students and they said they have the majority of their stuff already (including their text books.. which I haven't gotten yet).

So in result of my parents not going out shopping with me, I've started to go out by myself and buying everything myself with my graduation money and money I have been earning all summer. Every single time I get something my mom says something to the effect of stop buying stuff or she bitches about how she doesn't like it.

My dad is busy sometimes, but if I ask him to go somewhere, he will if he's not doing something that day. He doesn't really give me any input he will just follow me around the store.

Some back ground: Im the last child in the family, and I am the first going the traditional route to college. My older sisters are 32 and 29, one went to a state school 5 mins away and the other went into the military. My parents haven't "done this" in a while, so are they just not happy to see me go? Is that why they are not helping and my mother is trying to not let me get stuff?

Im frustrated because I don't like to not be prepared and I like to do things in advanced, I'm not sure what to do.

  • What am I suppose to major/minor in to become an Environmental Attorney?

Am I suppose to go Pre-Law and minor in Environmental science? I am not getting any guidance on the subject and I am not sure who to talk to! Im going to be a freshman in college next year, and I am not sure if I should wait until I get there to talk to the career center or figure it out now. I already chose classes, so I hope some of them aren't useless for what I am looking to go into.

  • My school told me I needed the wrong AP Test score, what can I do?

I took the AP Stats exam and all year I have been preparing myself to get a 3 (or higher) because a 3 is what my school accepts. Both on Collegeboard.com and my college's official website it said a 3, and currently still does. When I went to the school to register for classes at orientation, my adviser showed me a catalog which I did not have access to that says that requirement for AP Stats is a 4. They changed it for my fall semester and didn't update anything online which is the only thing I have access to. I'm afraid I may have not gotten a 4, and I think that it is not fair that I wasn't provided with the correct information. I wouldn't have wasted my money on the test if I didn't think I could get a 4.

What are my options? Do you think the school will reward me with credit since their website and college board still says it is a 3? Can I fight for it?

If so should I do it now or before I get my score back?

    thankyou

  • What kind of coffee pot would you recommend for a college student?

I am going to be a freshman next year and I am trying to figure out which kind of coffee maker I should get. I have been looking into a Keurig, but there are so many kinds and I am not sure which model would be the best. I am not allowed to have the standard coffee pot with a hot plate in my room. I am not concerned too much about the cost of K-cups (if I do purchase a Keurig). I am not a "5 cup a day" coffee drinker, I'm just a one in the morning type of girl.

    Please give me some suggestions!!

  • Is it too much to take Bio and Chem first semester of college?

Im going to be a freshman in college next year and I am trying to make some optional schedules. brief description of my school: has 2 semesters per year (some colleges are different) and is a liberal arts school, so I have a lot of core classes I have to take.

Okay so my freshman year I have to take bio and chem, first semester I take general chem and second I take Chem 2. I have to take one class of Bio, I can either take it first or second semester (no avoiding taking them together).

MY question is, should I jam pack my schedule for my first semester (because I have to make sure the labs fit in somewhere) or do I chose to take one of the easier non science classes that are required for my core requirements and have more open time?

I am a very good student and I believe that I can handle 2 at the same time, but then again... its college haha. Please give me opinions/advice!

  • My sister makes fun of my boyfriend constantly?

I'm turning 19 and my sister is 32 and she constantly makes fun of my boyfriend.

My boyfriend has his quirks, he has anxiety and doesn't like to be in crowds of new people so he usually declines to come over and visit my large family. He's an only child so him mom looks over him often, and my sister constantly makes fun of him when talking to me saying he's a baby and has to be around his mommy all the time.

She calls him weird and bursts out laughing when I talk about us playing video games together.

Over vacation she laughed at me and told me "you'll find someone else that is more fun than him"

I seriously don't know why she hates him (her husband also says rude things about him), he's kind, he is so smart and attends one of the top colleges in the country, he's never hurt me or used me, and he makes me seriously happy. He's my best friend and I don't know how she has the nerve to make fun of him in front of me. We have been dating for 2 years now I don't know how to get her to stop with her rude comments, she is really opinionated

  • Best way to learn to play the piano?

I don't know why I never tried to learn to play the piano before, because we actually have one in my house. It used to be at my grandparents but we moved it out a few years ago and it just sits in my back room, my sister used to play and they bought it for her.

I've been really inspired lately by piano music. And I was just wondering what would be the best way for me to learn? I don't really want to pay for a teacher, I want to just learn myself and use it as me time. I thought it would be fun to do! Any advice/links/book suggestions would be great!
