Dignity is a behaviour or attitude that will nurture pride, that will not evoke shame, that will increase your human and social worth.

While longing for dignity, you will seek to define the meaning and scope of dignity. So, a longing for dignity is a good attitude, a good start.

In the field of tension with your longing for dignity and with your struggle to achieve and corroborate more dignity, from a level of better nurtured own good material and spiritual energy, better nurtured through good food, fresher air, good hopes, and also perhaps through some mentored good exertions perhaps with the help of professional for your good money or of good friend for free, and so obviously through your own more growing perspicacity, you may soon be achieving a superb awareness of more confident sagacity and of the glowing sun-kissed dignity and of the potentialities and beauty of your own life.

No, being dignified is the beginning of dignity.

Longing for it is just wishing it would come true.

Hoping something else does it for you and you don't have to do any heavy lifting.

I would think that dignity would begin with self respect. No self respect, no dignity.

Any kind of longing would actually erode dignity.

Dignity signifies depth and stability and hence begins with self esteem coupled with moderation and restraint.

To seek dignity may require you to fit what it means to condign, as it is relative to 'dignity' like consign is relative to signal.

Another term that you may agree is relative dilligence; another, indigenous.Relative to these are diffidence and ingenuous. Try them, and the design of your extension of literateness shall not condemn you in this very small respect from dignity.
