What is the most common navy rating for Bud/s failures?

When bud/a candidates fail, what is the most common rating they receive afterword? Also...do they get any choice? Either by recruiter or otherwise after failing/dor-ing?

Most common would be Undesignated Seaman.

Since 2006, you will need to sign a Navy Contract in another rating before getting a Navy SEAL Challenge Contract. If you failed out of BUD/S, then you go to A School of whatever rating that you signed originally.

Step 2: Get a Navy contract

"If you are qualified, you will need to accept a contract into the Navy as any other job classification."

these days, depends on your ASVAB line scores and the needs of the Navy..

you can just as easily be kicked out as you are offered a new A school.
