Requirement for a "correct" religion?

Well, I guess you could start off by assuming all are possibly true, giving the benefit of the doubt to all, and then through a process of elimination weed out those that are inherently inconsistent with itself.

Also, you will find that every religion has some truth and goodness to it. Because humans desire to be happy and good and will usually not follow a religion that they think is bad or a lie.

The religion that has the fullness of truth is the one you want to find if you are seeking truth. The greatest truths are those revealed to us by God who is the author of all truth.

And , there can be more than one way of being a faithful follower of a religion. Not everyone can be a monk for instance. But there are common things. For instance, one faith, one Lord, one baptism. One creed. All must pray even though not all can do it in a monastery or would even want to. All are called to charity though not all of us are full time ministers.

We all want happiness but not everything do we want the same. What makes one person happy can make another miserable. Yet happiness is our common goal.

well....you need to read a 800 page book to get a good answer...

but the first thing is to research the scripture of each religion and ask ur self "can i trust the authenticity of this book before i start looking at what it says? "...

take a look at the quran...the bible...the vedas..etc

and see which one wasn't changed and is 100% sure to be of known origins..

To be a True Christian you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! You also need to receive Salvation by Faith and Grace from God!

There is nothing else needed to be a True Christian going to Heaven!

If a religion makes a factual claim about the universe that is wrong, then the religion is wrong.

If a religion makes a logically impossible claim about the universe or the existence of God, then it is wrong.

the true religion must have proofs!

okay, lets start the with the two major universal religions, so.. christianity and Islam..

and the religion that most people are converting to is islam(despite all the anti islam propaganda)

it should tell you that it has more probability of being the truth...

these^ scientific facts have only been proven in the last 2 or 3 centuries after the development of the modern technology; yet the Quran mentions these with such precision 1400 years ago.. can't be from anyone but God..

That's like asking which is the more correct branch of astrology.

One of the main reasons for religion is to delineate between insiders (members of my group) and outsiders (everyone else.) That way, religion can be used as a rallying call for war, and to give followers permission to discriminate against others.

Another function of religion is to provide a supernatural explanation for natural phenomena which can't be currently explained. The trouble with that is, as time goes by, more and more of these phenomena get explained by scientific investigation.

but there is one testimony from the lips of jesus himself, where he said all (churches) are Wrong. their (creeds) are doctrines of men, and the men themselves are corrupt. the creeds are an abomination, and the churches have no direct heaven authority. something like that.

if you are truly sincere about finding The Restored church, it took me only a few days to fast and pray for the revelation that came. or you can investigate the church of jesus christ of latter day saints.

it took me ten years to study and compare LDS doctrines with the bible eventually i submitted to the reatlity that no antimormon spoke the truth about the restored church and though i did not study every doctrine i realized they are all biblically, if not spiritually more correct than the intepretations the baptists have taught us.

i believe the testimony of joseph smith jr. who testified that Jesus said all other religions are "wrong" therefore "join none of them"

First, we need to delete the religious version of the term "god". Then, maybe we can get somewhere since people seem to make god in their own image.
