how do i drive out honeybees without killing them?
Honeybees have nested behind my chimney, between the brick and the plywood sheathing. Is there any way to drive them out without killing them or cutting into the wall of the house?

A bee keeper would first try placing an inviting hive for them to move into. If that didn't work, they would vacuum the bees in a modified vacuum cleaner to capture them. However, once the bees are gone, the walls must still come down so the wax cells and honey can be removed and contaminated building material stripped out and replaced. or either other insects will move in to take advantage of the material stored or the honey and wax will weep out damaging your building more.

A bee keeper will be happy to come out and take the bees. They pay good money for a hive. If they are honey bees they wom't hurt nothing if you leave them stay where they are. They will help polimate the flowers. plants amd fruit in the neighborhood. If they are hornets or yellow jackets I would spay them and kill them

you can find one probably either through animal control or a pest control company. With all the problems honey bees are facing these days, beekeepers are interested in finding new colonies.

Or, find a beekeeper who will move the hive for you. If you cannot find any local results in an online search for apiary in your area, you can find one probably either through animal control or a pest control company. With all the problems honey bees are facing these days, beekeepers are interested in finding new colonies.

Smoke.... it will annoy them and make them leave causing the least damage possible to your home. Either lite a piece of wood, some papers, anything that will cause a bigger flame than a cigarette.

Smoke em' out! If you can get smoke to that spot. Smoke won't kill them. It will make them go away.
