Is 32 year old going to feel awkward going back to College?

I played baseball for two years and was injured. I never finished my bachelors and now I have a more mature outlook on the benefits of a degree, but I hate the feeling of being the odd old guy in the classroom.

There were some "old guys" in a lot of my college classes, including people who were much older than you. But nobody thought they were "odd." Quite the contrary. Everyone looked up to them, liked talking to them, and enjoyed hearing their input in class discussions. They were much more interesting, and it was refreshing to have a classmate who was "different" from the typical 19-20 year olds who we were always surrounded by.

Well people before you who are considered to be "older" have gone without a problem. In the end, you're improving your life and you shouldn't feel ashamed about doing that around "youngsters". I'm 25 if that helps and I could care less to see an older person in college. I'd be like "ah, ok cool." Kind of like being in the workplace. You see people of all sorts of ages :)

I'm sure it will feel awkward. When I was doing my BSc we had some "mature" guys studying with us, who felt awkward at first. But we got to know them, and they settled in.

Your presence may well help those of a less mature outlook. I'm sure you will get over any awkwardness, and it is worth it to get your degree.

You should never let anything like that keep you from getting your education. You might be surprised at how many "older" students are on campus. Besides you could always say you're the new professor ... just kidding. Oh my, see how that old flesh nature jumps out if you're not careful.
