If the first Crusades didn't stop the Islamic invasion, what would Europe and Christendom look like today?
In the U.S, (a Nation that's dislikes Catholics) everyone has been taught the lie about the bloodthirsty, rapist, murdering pigs called Christian Crusaders that plundered their way East and murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent Jews and muslims, but the "Muslim Crusades" started 300+ years before the Christian Crusades. They killed Christian and Jew on to their ultimate destination, Rome, where they would put up their golden dome of domination, as they are told to do throughout the entire world from their koran, on top of St. Peters square, "The Vatican." Muslims thought that anyone that wasn't muslim needed to be killed. Sounds eerily to the Nazis. The Muslims military was quite successful, even making it to Venice, Italy and Spain. The only reason why they were beaten back was because of the Crusaders... So if the Pope Urban II never assembled the army to protect the onslaught coming their way, would it change the face of the world? Would our world today look different and in what way?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoCatholics, could I marry a girl that had a child out of wedlock>?
She went out with a guy for 10 years and it was her only boyfriend ever, so she's not promiscuous. They broke up and months later went out for old angsi, had a few too many drinks and bam she's prego. Now they're broken up for good, but she is still friends with him. I know a dad has a right to see his kid, but to be honest some red flags went up when I heard that... What I'm most concerned about is--- Matthew 5-32--- "But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery." I know they were never married, but it still bugs me. I really like this girl and we seem perfect for each other. I'm just concerned about, well, what I just told you.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow would you fix the border problem?
Before you say that the land belonged to the Mexicans first, google Tongva indians. They lived in So Cal for centuries before mexicans exterminated them. The indians hated mexicans and considered them enemies and this is important because it takes away mexicans claim for the land. I think it's unfair for those that earned their citizenship and learned the language to watch as these people freely walk into the U.S without working for it.I'm also Catholic and have a soft spot for the homeless and the needy, and let's face it, South America has some of the most dangerous, corrupt and poor places on Earth and I would want to leave too, but LEGALLY.I'm going to try not to sound racist, but these are facts. The illegal immigrant problem isn't coming from Canada, it's Mexico. L.A has been taken over my mexican gangs and cartels, flooding the streets with violence, kidnappings and drugs. With so many illegals successfully getting in to the Sates, doesn't that mean a terrorist could get in as well?Out of all the races mexicans are most criticized. They don't speak English, and rather than paying taxes to the land that gave them a job they send their $ back to mexico. They wave the mexican flag everywhere and have no pride in being American. I could go on and on.
Solution- Build 30f, 800 mile long electrified wall. Don't tell me we can't do it. The Chinese did it thousands of years ago without any machinery(save the electricity). So how would you solve this ever growing problem.
13 AnswersImmigration7 years agoWhat would the world look like without the U.S?
The absence of America from everything, the Revolutionary war to the World Wars to present day.
10 AnswersMilitary7 years agoChristians, what's the difference between judging and correcting?
If our brother or sister is in sin, then it's our obligation to make them mindful of their sin and lovingly call them to repentance and change, but in your opinion, what is crossing the line into self righteous judgment? A man I know goes around and picks everyone apart for every little imperfection, that in his mind, does not go along with Christ's teachings. If we are to be judged on how we judge others, shouldn't we will the good out of people with love rather than sit back and criticize everyone, or is he correct in his bold judgments of others shortcomings?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhy do girls have sex with other guys to get even with their boyfriend?
My friend gets in an argument with his girl that he lives with, she storms out, gets drunk with her friends, that probably filled her brain with all kinds of brilliant advice(sarcasm), and has sex with a stranger she met at the bar they were at. Thru the years this story has become more and more common. That's pretty sick and twisted in my opinion, especially if the guy didn't cheat on her. Instead of working things out thru communication, she goes out and shags the nearest drunk guy with big arms??? He kicked her out and now she doesn't even know why she did it. Wtf? Someone please explain to me the mind numbing, labyrinth/sphinx that is the female mind. I love women, I think their God's most beautiful creations, but holy ****. That's downright evil.
3 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoLadies, why do girls flirt with me more when I'm with my girlfriend?
I rarely get looks when I'm running errands and doing stuff by myself, but when I'm with my girlfriend, I get looks left and right and even get approached.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoCan you really trust anyone?
I'm older now and have seen many friends get married and divorced. 80% of the break ups were because of infidelity. I know the divorce rate right now is pretty horrible, but some of the stories would shock you. Wives and husbands alike cheating on each other, sometimes with their spouse's best friend. One couple was together for 20 years and his wife was cheating on him with his besty for 10 out of those 20 years. He told me "You think you know someone, living together, raising kids together, thinking you know everything about each other and it's like she was living 2 different lives and I never even had a clue." Dad's betraying sons, sons betraying dads, moms and daughters slandering each other behind their back. I don't like to use generalities, but damn! Are people just incapable of being loyal?
10 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoWill I ever be able to have another dog after my dog's death?
The dog I had was indescribably smart. I know owners always think their dog is special and they're right to a certain degree, but my dog knew sign language instead of verbal commands. She was problem solving smart. She was so intelligent it was spooky, I could go on and on about stories of her that would blow your mind. Without sounding to mushy I loved her so much. I love dogs and all animals, but I'm afraid that if I get another dog I would always be comparing her to Sasha, my dog who died, and that wouldn't be fair to the dog. I think I could love different aspects of another dog and their own special little quirks, but Sasha was one in a million, strike that, one in a billion.
4 AnswersDogs7 years agoCan a drug enabling parent become hostile when his or her child chooses to quit?
I have a cousin that was getting pain pills from his mom. She was always reluctant to appease him, but he was manipulative and could always talk her into giving him pills. This went on for years. Recently he chose to go thru the painful process of detox and is now clean, but he has expressed to me how hurt he is by the way his mom is now treating him. Saying things like how she doubts he's even sober, or that eventually he'll relapse. He told me she has been treating him like garbage and showing him zero respect or encouragement. She's acting borderline evil, as if she wants him to start taking drugs again. She degrades him and verbally abuses him and she never did that when he was using. There must be some kind of phycological explanation because if there isn't then the devil must be real. Any thoughts? And no it's not me.

I saw at girl at the grocery store and I was immediately attracted to her. I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't know what to say. What's the magic words?
6 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoIs 32 year old going to feel awkward going back to College?
I played baseball for two years and was injured. I never finished my bachelors and now I have a more mature outlook on the benefits of a degree, but I hate the feeling of being the odd old guy in the classroom.

4 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoAtheists, is it therapy for you to mock Christians on Y.A?
The people in these forums that are the most outspoken and filled with hate are sad, lonely people that afraid of everything. So does mocking believers without giving your identity away make you feel better? I just realized 3/4 of the people here have no lives. Sad. Now go ahead and type your hate till your fingers bleed.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIf Christ's message was never known what would the world be like?
Without any code of ethics, morality or conscience, the brutal ancient world resorted to human sacrifice and all kinds of behavior that would be labelled as evil by today's standards. Christ's message about love and forgiveness changed the world, splitting time in two, B.C and A.D. Even the most hardcore atheist must admit that Christ had a major impact on the world and influenced almost every idea that we have today. So what would the world look like today if God never sent Christ into the world? Who would make the laws that we abide by and how would we know if they are evil or good?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDid the reformation hurt Christendom?
Before the reformation, most of the known world was Catholic(Universal Christian), Greek Orthodox or Roman Catholic. The reformation resulted millions of deaths on both sides. The Bible was re-assembled giving way to confusion and needless doubts and debates about our Faith. The reformation started a Christian civil war. The U.S hates Catholics and most of Western Europe hates Protestants, especially in N. Ireland. Instead of ONE Church of Christ, built on the rock of Peter's Faith 2,000 years ago, there are now 40,000 different Protestant Churches in the U.S alone. With no hierarchy Protestant Churches can do and teach whatever they please which led to fake tongue speakers, snake charmers, mega churches, televangelists seeking money for prayers, and worst of all the misinterpretation of the Scriptures... I know there are always good and bad aspects to everything, but wouldn't it be nice to be under one flag again? I've witnessed first hand Protestant children being taught that Catholics are evil. I don't think that's what Christ would have wanted.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoAre we in danger of over or underpopulation?
Politics aside, these are facts. In the U.S and Western Europe, women on average are having 2 (1.7) or less children because of economic reasons, abortion and contraceptives, making the child bearing average the lowest in recorded history. The replacement generation, (our kids) are going to be nearly half of today's population. On the other hand the 3rd world countries, especially Islamic states, women are having 7 children each on average... What does this mean for our future? What will the effects be? Why is the media telling us that we're overpopulated?
12 AnswersCurrent Events7 years agoIs Christianity being replaced by U.S culture?
Out of 2,000yrs of Christianity, the past 50 years have seen the largest rebellion against Christ's message and have witnessed the largest fallout among believers in HISTORY. Basically everything Christ told us not to do in the Bible we are doing openly. When confronted with warnings of the laundry list of sins we commit everyday, Americans become violent and prideful. They become aggressively defensive about their sin, some which would be punishable by death a couple hundred years ago.Usually to the tune of "You can't judge me! F*** you, it's my life."
In order to answer this question one must first admit the significant change in the morality of our culture, ergo has to admit that the U.S has changed it's views to Christ's teachings in the very recent past. There is no debate there. Numbers don't lie. The question is WHY? Porn, the media, Hollywood, progressivism, Socialism, the Easter bunny, Oprah? What is it?
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins of lust." 2-Tim-3
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow to deal with a parent that belittles you, especially in front of other people?
My pop is a sad, type A personality and narcissistic. My mom left him and I'm the only child that speaks to him. At family functions he always says the wrong thing and offends people. This has made him into a lonely misanthrope. I'm more kind hearted and feel sorry for him so I try to converse with him and go places with him but I always end up feeling like **** and guilty. It's as if he drains the happiness out of me. I can tell him the hard truth about his personality which will result in him never wanting to speak to me again or I can disown him and never speak to him again. Is there any other option.
