There's no reason not to call himself Christian. Different Christian sects believe in many different doctrines, and all can usually back up their differing beliefs by emphasising some parts of the Bible and ignoring others.

In 1 Corinthians 15:12-15, Paul says: Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

In Romans 10:9 he says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So the doctrine of the risen Christ is considered by Paul as essential to the Faith and the belief in the resurrection of the dead. Rather than deny that Christ rose, and thereby deny their faith as Paul states, most Christians strengthen their belief in it so that they can claim that their faith is true.

That Paul said this implies that there were different beliefs and practises within the Way that became Christianity, even in the early days. Things have been that way ever since.

Yes, many christians know the resurrection never happened.

No you can't. If you don't believe Jesus rose from the dead then you need to find some other religion. You are not a Christian. You have called God a liar and rejected Him.

I would have to say NO! If it were not for Christ's resurrection we wouldn't have anything to base our faith on.

I don't believe in Adam and Eve but I still walk my faith. I still think he's a Christian even though he doesn't believe in the resurrection. As long as he devotes his life to the lord and truly believes in his faith, he'll be fine. Besides one he goes to heaven (maybe lol), god will, show him if it truly happened or not.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a fundamental tenet of the Christian faith. If one claims to be a Christian, yet rejects the truth of the resurrection of Jesus, then on what grounds do they claim to be a Christian?

if a christian doesn't believe, means he's calling the bible a LIE.

    means the writers are LIARS.

means God who is behind His Word is a LIAR.

means the whole of christendom who have experienced a Living, Talking Jesus is a LIE.

    to hell he goes ...

Jesus blasted the Sadduces for such beliefs. A Christian is supposed to be following Jesus Christ, God of the living not the dead .

Jesus did rise from the grave and He is standing at the right hand of the Father.

I hear angels sing and in a dream I heard an angel sing "the Lord is Messiah", and in another dream I heard angels singing "Christ died for man and He shall reign forever".
