If Christ's message was never known what would the world be like?
Without any code of ethics, morality or conscience, the brutal ancient world resorted to human sacrifice and all kinds of behavior that would be labelled as evil by today's standards. Christ's message about love and forgiveness changed the world, splitting time in two, B.C and A.D. Even the most hardcore atheist must admit that Christ had a major impact on the world and influenced almost every idea that we have today. So what would the world look like today if God never sent Christ into the world? Who would make the laws that we abide by and how would we know if they are evil or good?

It would be exactly like it was in the days of Noah before God destroyed mankind (except for 8 people) with the universal flood.
Genesis 6:5-7 5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

One assumes the world, or more accurately the civilizations on the world, would be much the same. As you could find easily, human sacrifice was long a practice of the past centuries earlier.
Not to dismiss the positive messages that do exist in the New Testament, but none of them were new ideas, all were in common currency, in many cultures and religions, long before the Christian era. the new faith built on many of the older faiths, as is common and expected.

We can only guess, but my opinion is God taught humans ethics since Adam and Eve, and things would be much worse without that instruction. On the other hand, some humans are quite good at figuring out what makes modern civilization work, so likely we would have some ethics and morality without God's input.

Oh, Jesus did have a major impact on world history, but ethics and morality existed long before 1 A.D. And Christianity can hardly claim to be the best ethical system there is (*cough* Crusades *cough* Inquisition)

If Christ's message was never known....many honorable cultures that have been decimated by christianity would still probably be standing strong and proud.
The spread of middle eastern monotheism has been the most destructive force to spread across the world.
Fortunately....an end is in sight.

Ethics and Morals are human made so that we can live together in groups. The Christ was one of many that spoke of how we should treat the poor and sick. Doesn't seem to me that this has been followed very well.

This world is as bad as any country and prior ages. Men are evil and serve the God of this world Satan. The only hope is when God reclaims this world and rules it with those who love and serve him. Sin started with Adam so it has been in the earth since.

Christs so called "message" was known a millenia before hand. I would think, even without Jesus someone else would bring it again.

You do know that much of the "morality" of the bible was basically taken from the code of Hammurabi, which predates the old testament.

Do you think people went around killing each other all willy nilly before Jesus showed up?
