Windows 8.1 update disabled wireless network adapter?

I purchased a new computer running Windows 8. It came with a built-in wireless network adapter which was working fine until I upgraded to 8.1. Now no Internet, I have received error code 43, and there is a yellow exclamation point on the adapter in the Device Manager.

Fortunately, I had two USB wireless adapters from previous computers and I installed the newest on my new computer, so I have Internet but not with the built in adapter.

I know this is a common problem and I have updated the driver only to have the error code and

yellow ! appear again.

Any solution that repairs my built-in wireless adapter will be appreciated.

In this case, it is important to troubleshoot the network adapter problem.

Open the Network Adapter troubleshooter by clicking the Start button picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control

Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click View all, and then click Network Adapter.

If running the Network Adapter troubleshooter doesn't fix the problem, here are some more things to try:

Make sure the network adapter is enabled

    Reset the network adapter

    Update the network adapter driver

If all else fails, replace the driver

Disabling or uninstalling a network adapter

Still, not able to resolve the problem, then consult Click4Support at their Toll Free Number: 1-877-836-8352.

    Hi there!

There are issues with drivers especially when you're going to upgrade to Windows 8.1. But of course there are things that you can do to fix the issue.

You can uninstall/reinstall the driver through Device Manager. Don't worry about the reinstallation of the driver since there will be a cache that will be created, so pretty much the information will remain in your compute and you can reinstall without the need for a driver's disk.

For more information you can head on to http://www.techypingky.com/ for a complete guide on how to do this. Just search for "hardware drivers"

    Hope this helps!
