Best cures for a croaky voice!?
I'm singing in a choir concert on Friday and am starting to get a croaky voice and tickly cough.
This concert is our first and such a big deal, I cannot afford to have a voice that is not perfect.
Does anyone know any good cures for a croaky voice (it's not sore, just deeper than usual and my throat feels very bunged up with mucous). I'll be taking cold medicine, cough medicine and lots of tea.
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Go on a complete vocal rest with NO singing, whispering, shouting nor yelling at all and as little speaking aloud as possible. Stay well hydrated, but do NOT have anything caffeinated (tea included) because caffeine will only make you feel worse.

Don't talk unless absolutely necessary. Also, Chloraseptic spray is good for numbing up the throat.
I used it religiously during dress rehearsals week for shows.

Gargle warm (not hot) salt water, and take a hot hot hot shower and breathe in the steam!
