paranoia about vision loss?
Am i being paranoid?
so like i'm already like OCD about everything. anyways, today i realized that i never wore sunglasses as a child. i'm 18 now. i suddenly remember my spanish teacher telling us how she got a cataract from not protecting her eyes from the sun. now i don't know if i'm just being OCD but i'm starting to freak out because i feel like i already damaged my eyes from never wearing sunglasses before. i don't know why i never wore sunglasses. should i worry about cataracts? my vision in my left eye is fine but i need to wear contacts and glasses for my right eye because i have a lazy eye or something. i feel like my eyes are developing cataracts. i'm gonna go buy some sunglasses now and start wearing them. should i be worrying about cataracts?

IF you increased your chances of cataracts that is still decades off, also be aware they are a common disease of old age and easily fixed with surgery and an implant replacement when the time comes, I am sure things will be even better by the time YOU get past 50.
I have the start of cataracts, I can't tell but the eye doctor can, I figure a 10-15 year time for them to improve the implants by the time I need surgery!

There is a thing where peolpe go blind from freaking out and thinking they will go blind so they actully do for a short time it's a real thing but not common don't stress about it stress does a lot to the body. If you end up with eye problems it will probs be when your a lot older an old peolpe thing if your that worried wear sunglasses when it's sunny making sure you purchase full protection sunnys it will lower the risk.
