3 goldfish (even small ones) in a 5 gal? Yeah the water is going to go cloudy pretty fast. Over cleaning and 100% water changes only makes this worse. A tank has to run as a stable ecosystem, and changing all the water and scrubbing out the tank prevents this from happening. Unfortunately, because the tanks too small for the fish, you aren't going be able to get a stable system running in it anyway.

Keep doing large partial water changes, to keep the fish alive, while you organise a bigger tank.

There is NO excuse why you should keep a goldfish in any container of water less than 20 gallons. None at all. You can buy a stock tank, which is cheaper than an actual aquarium. You could even buy a plastic storage container. It's not too hard to do. Give these fish a proper home, not one ten times too small.

3 "fair" type goldfish will need over 100 gallons to dilute the waste they produce. They will grow over a foot and are very messy and active.

If you wish for them to thrive, acquire a 150 gallon tank, with a 600 GPH canister filter. If you can't do this, cloudy water will persist from mini-cycles and high amounts of dissolved organic matter, and the fish will stunt and die young.

read @ianab's answer and then research any parts of it you do not understand.

and no, you do not any chemicals, you just need to learn proper aquarium procedures and stop doing everything wrong.

note: you do not need to fix the cloudiness, or calcium or whatever. You need to learn why it got cloudy and why 3 goldfish can't live in a 5 gallon tank.

Having owned hundreds of fish over the years, I can assure you that there is nothing wrong with your tank. Whenever I clean my tank out, which is quite often, the water clouds up for about a day. And, in reply to your comment to Captain's answer, yes there is a chemical you could buy to "de-cloud" the water, or you could just wait it out. I found this you could buy online for about $3:

    Hope I helped! :)

Your water may have a high level of calcium.
